    Getting started on Aladdin

    This morning the Orchard Costume Crew got started on Aladdin. We met at school to cut patterns and pull costumes. There are 82 kids in show!! We have princesses, guards, royal family members, monkeys, tigers, flying carpets, conspirators, parrots, merchants, townspeople, and of course genies! It is going to be a fun show to design with lots of sewing and creating! I am using a number of different patterns and mixing and matching pieces from them to get what we need.     Wow Have I been Busy and missing my Blog

    I truly have no idea where to begin. I have not blogged since the spring but I have been designing costumes non stop!!! I wish I had the the discipline, well really it is the time to blog on a regular basis.  I often surf the internet for ideas to spark my creativity on the show I am designing.  In all of my searching I have not come across a site or blog dedicated to costuming. A place to post and share designs, pictures, tutorials, ideas, plans, patterns, and suggestions. So here begins yet another attempt to do just that!     Guys and Dolls

    I have been so busy with real work and costuming that I am never able to update my blog. The funny part is no one really knows about my blog because I have no idea how to use this to the full potential. It is one of my goals for the summer.     Wind in the Willows

    Here are some photos from Wind in the Willows performed by Very Merry Theater November 1 & 2 2013 I had the kids wear early 1900’s costumes and added an element of their animal. Mole and Rat The Badger         Our adorable hedgehogs! We pinned clothespins on their backs! One of the bunnies!   The Fox   The Otter The automobile and his driver Toad! Not the best picture.
