A Christmas Story- When Your A Wimp
The outdoor gear is in full view in this number and let me tell you it was no easy task to make sure every kid had their hat, mittens, and scarf! We sewed the scarfs onto their jackets to help a little! Here comes Randy in his ridiculously large snowsuit! First time we see Grover Dill and Scut Farkus. Our Grover Dill was played by a girl so we had to give her a wig. The Narrator, Schwartz (in the blue jacket with toggles), and Flick (in the plaid jacket). A Christmas Story- Red Ryder Carbine Action BB Gun
The town made it to Higgbee’s to look at the window and Ralphie sees the Red Ryder Carbine Action BB Gun- We enter his imagination. Meanwhile, we had to quickly get Jean into his red ryder costume so he could hand Ralphie his gun. I found the fabric for the “chaps” at this amazing fabric store in New Jersey over the summer. Sometimes things just work out, and I had just enough fabric for Jean’s chaps and Ralphie’s chaps! A Christmas Story- Overture and It All Comes Down to Christmas
In the Fall of 2017 I had the honor to be the costume designer for Lyric Theater Company’s A Christmas Story When I took the position I had no idea that the best part would be that Ronnie, my son, would be cast as Ralphie. It was so special and magical for us to share this amazing experience together!
